Hi, I’m Janine, a senior at UC Santa Barbara majoring in Political Science with a focus on East Asia. My academic journey has been driven by a fascination with how political dynamics are expressed through artistic mediums like films, music, and literature. I’ve had the opportunity to intern with UCSB’s Academic Affairs Division, where I contributed to the smooth transition of undergrad students into departmental roles and gained insights into higher education operations.

Outside of my academic and professional life, I’m passionate about collecting CDs, a hobby that fuels my appreciation for music and its cultural impact. Looking ahead, I aim to leverage my meticulous research skills and experiences to make a meaningful contribution in the field of higher education, exploring innovative ways to enhance student experiences and institutional effectiveness.
